A Celebration of Life for Angela Phillips Watkins will be held Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Colfax Civic Center in Colfax, Louisiana, with Bishop David Veal, Sr. Officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 and continue until the start of service. Interment will be in Farenzie Cemetery in Colfax, Louisiana.


Angela Phillips Watkins was born April 17, 1966 to Mary Frances Abraham and Hershal Phillips, Jr., in Pineville, Louisiana. She departed this life on October 24, 2023 at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital. She was 57 years old.


Angela leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters, Genophia (Ethan) Jones and Brittany Phillips and fiance’ Dwight Neal Cook, Jr.; one grandson, Honor Neal Cook; mother, Mary Francis Abraham; father, Hershal Phillips, Jr.; brothers, Elbert (Beverly) Phillips, Jimmy (Helen) Stringer, Michael (Portia) Stringer, Vincent Jones, and MacArthur (Kate) Jackson; sisters, Barbara Phillips, LaShawn (Tim) Fisher, Ronnie (Antonio) Dejesus, Pamela Williams, Kimberly (Quentin) Anthony, Tammy (Robert) Coleman and Angela (Terry) Dotson; numerous aunts and uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
