Services for Anna Lee McDonald (Frazier) will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 3036, at good Hope Baptist Church, C. L. Bradford Street, Pineville, LA. Interment will be in Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery.
Our Beloved sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother departed this life on August 15th, 2026. She was born in Pineville, Louisiana on May 24th, 1939. Anna was one of 8 children from the marriage of Alfred Frazier and Emma Williams.
She attended and graduated from Peabody high school in 1957. Anna met and married a U. S. Air Force airman named Elbert “Mac” McDonald and relocated to Detroit Michigan.
While in Detroit she had two sons, Mark and Gary (deceased).
She loved fashion and always dressed in nice clothes. Anna brought the “Louisiana Culture” and a strong work ethic to her community service. Helping others was a natural part of who she was. Always outspoken she never hesitated to voice her opinions.
Anna had a passion for early childhood education and pursued a 35-year career in education before retiring and returning to Louisiana.
Upon her return to Louisiana, Anna became active at the Pineville Seniors center, playing bingo and volunteering at charity events and holiday gatherings.
She is pre-deceased by her mother Emma Williams, her father Alfred Frazier, her sisters Emma Jean Allen, Pearline Frazier, Corrine Coleman and Elizabeth Allen, her brother Alfred Frazier Jr, and her son Gary McDonald.
She is survived by her sister Ozel Piper, one brother Dennis Frazier (Barbara), one
son Mark McDonald (Laura), and her grandchildren Heather, Marrick, Cherilyn,
Jonathan, Quinton, Courtney and Zackary. Along with her great grandchildren Jada, Lydell, Leah, Adara, Leilani, Jacob, Cayden, Kourtney, Caliana, Koa, Jayven, Miles and Mia. Including numerous nieces and nephews.
Anna touched the lives of many people. She was loved by many friends and family and will be greatly missed by all.
