Services for Asha Rashida Martin will be at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at True Vine Baptist Church, 831 Broadway Ave., Alexandria, LA. Rev. Solomon Shorter, Sr. will be officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Ms. Martin, 29, of Alexandria, LA, passed away on August 13, 2019 at her residence. Asha was a graduate of Alexandria Senior High School where she excelled in cheerleading, softball, and powerlifting. Asha was a loving mother who was known for her affectionate smile and magnetic personality. Asha is preceded in death by grandparents: Elnora and George Taylor, Sr.; uncle: LionellTaylor; cousins: Alexis Taylor and Mykasha Austin. Asha leaves to cherish her memories- her children: Cassidy Vickers, Kyrin Martin and Kason Carmouche; parents: JoAnn Martin and Cornelius Martin, brother: Ahmad Martin, and sisters: Alisha Taylor, Aleshia Robinson, Christina Taylor and Elnora Austin. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church.
