Services for Avery Bernard Peters will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2026, at Greater Magnolia Baptist Church, 1511 Bringhurst Street, Alexandria, LA. Rev. Chadwick Godfrey, sr. will be officiating. Interment will be in Raven Camp Cemetery, Colfax, LA.
Mr. Peters, 62, of Alexandria, LA, passed away on February 1, 2026, at his residence. Avery was born on July 5, 1963, to the union of the later Henry Lee Peters, Sr. and Margaret Eddie Peters.
He is preceded in death by his father: Henry Lee Peters, Sr., brothers: Gregory Peters and Shanno Peters, and sister: Gay Peters.
Avery leaves to cherish his memories – mother: Margaret Eddie Peters, brothers: Ralph Eddie, Henry Peters, Reginald Layssard, Marcus Peters, and Demond Peters, and sisters: Evelyn Peters, Gwendolyn Peters-Jenkins, and Demetrius Layssard.
Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. at Greater Magnolia Baptist Church.
