Barbara Ann Byrd 67 of Lecompte, La was born in Pineville, Louisiana on May 18, 1954, to the union of Sandy and Mary Byrd. She departed life on November 18,2021 at her residence surround by loved ones. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Reverend W.M. Mumphrey at Second Edgefield Baptist Church in Cheneyville, La. Barbara worked at Leas Lunchroom until her health failed. She was the head cook, she loved her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews dearly.
She was proceeded in death by her daughter. Adriana Johnson, her parents Sandy and Mary Byrd, uncle Herbert Madison Sr., two sisters Joyce Anderson and Hilda Wilson, one brother James Byrd and a son in law she called her own Jarvis Dwellingham.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her 5 children. Shawanda Byrd of Lecompte, La. Kedrick Byrd (Stacey) of Carenco, La. Adrian Snowden (Sylvester) of Alexandria, La. Shennea Byrd of Houston, Tx. Patience Byrd of Baton Rouge, La. 6 sisters Veronica Fisher (James) of Cheneyville, La. Diane Byrd of Lecompte, La. Gloria Brooks (John) of Lecompte, La. Carolyn Byrd of Lecompte, La. Ella Byrd (Johnny) of Lecompte, La. Michelle Walker (Keywaynethian) of Lecompte, La. 3 brothers Sandy Byrd (Terry) of Cheneyville, La. Ronald Byrd of Lecompte, La. Kenneth Byrd of Lecompte, La. One Aunt Evelyn Madison of Port Arthur, Tx. 13 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Barbara also leaves to cherish her special memories with Pearlie Fisher and Nicole & Dondrick Washington. The family would like to thank Cabrini Cancer Center, Nurses and a special nurse Mrs. Renee. Also, Christus Hospice and Palliative Care St. Frances Cabrini.
