Beatrice Mitchell

Beatrice Mitchell, 58, better known as “ Penny” or “Bea” passed away on August 20, 2020 at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, La. She was born in Pineville, Louisiana to Mrs. Elouise Peterson and into a family of women that put their faith in God.

She attended and graduated from Pineville High School in 1981. She was employed at multiple nursing homes in the area as a CNA for many years, she also worked at AFCO and Pinecrest as a direct support worker. She left her footprint in various schools (Alma Redwine Elementary, W.O. Hall, and Rapides Training Academy) as a paraprofessional.

She was a faithful member of Antioch Church of God In Christ and loved her church family. She enjoyed helping others, spending time with her family, taking pictures, cooking, catching sweet deals at local stores, and most of all dressing up. As she would always say, “Look your best”!

She will be remembered for her smile, her heart of gold, her love for accessories, and always taking pictures.

She is preceded in death by her younger brother: John Mitchell.

She leaves to cherish memories with her three children: Jesse Mitchell, Adrienne Mathes, and Deanna Mitchell, her mother: Mrs. Elouise Peterson, and her oldest brother Thomas Mitchell. She leaves to cherish a host of aunts and uncles as well.

The funeral service will be held on August 29, 2020 at 11 AM at Antioch Church of God In Christ in Pineville, La. The viewing/visitation will start at 9AM before the start of the service.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital and our church family-Antioch Church of God In Christ.
