Services for Bertha Kirts Swafford will be at 12:00pm on Saturday, December 4,
2022, at Old Morning Star Baptist Church, 120 Morning Star Road, Colfax, LA.
Rev. Brian Small will be officiating. Interment will be in Farenzie Cemetery.
Mrs. Swafford, 90, of Colfax, LA, passed away on November 21, 2022, at Colfax
Reunion & Rehabilitation Center. She is preceded in death by father: Baptiste
Elzy, mother: Estelle Elzy, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, and 3 children.
Bertha leaves to cherish her memories – daughters: Mary Perry, Hester Redmond,
Cherry Sykes, Ruby J. Davis, and Brenda Bush Warren, sons: Terry L. Kirts, Larry
D. Kirts, Will “Ricky” Kirts, and Artis Kirts, along with 31 grandchildren, 47 great
grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
