Bessie Mae Alexander

Services for Bessie Mae Alexander, (MaDear) will be at 12 p.m. on January 6, 2023, at First

Assembly of God with Pastor Shaun Green officiating. Burial will be in Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, under direction of Robinson Family Mortuary.

Ms. Bessie, age 91 of Winnfield La, peacefully took her ascend to the arms of Jesus on

December 30, 2022.


“MaDear” lived a long and blessed life as a wonderful mother, pastor, and leader. She was well- loved and showed love to everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by her friends, family, loved ones, and all those whose lives she touched through a lifetime of faithful service.


She was preceded in death by her husband: McHenry Alexander Sr., and their children:

McHenry Jr., George Henry, Kennieth, and Hattie, parents: Emanuel and Lydia Rainwater, along with her brother and three sisters.


“MaDear” is survived by her five daughtes, Barbara Wheeler (Jerome) and Marylyn Alexander of Winnfield, La; Linda Hall (Lee) of Natchitoches, La; VaDorah Alexander of Bremerton, Wa; and Angela Brown (Frank) of Longview, Tx; along with her 6 sons, Charles Alexander and Victor Alexander (Arachne) of Baton Rouge, La; Larry Alexander (Anita) of Natchitoches, La; Eddie Alexander (Sandra) of Naples, Tx; Alfy Alexander (Paula) of Venus, Tx; and Matthew Alexander (Alicia) of Celeste, Tx, along with an abundance of friends and family.
