Carl Joseph Braud Jr. (aka Mickey) (born) October 25, 1936 to Carl J. Braud and Louise A Braud.

Carl transitioned - December 31, 2025 at Cabrini Hospital Alexandria Louisiana with his immediate family present.


Carl a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, was raised with his 4 brothers Larry, Rudolph, (deceased)Delano, (deceased) and Fernand (deceased). Carl attended Corpus Christi’s School and Graduated from Xavier Preparatory School. Carl joined the Army and served for 3 years. He was an insurance agent for a while, then enlisted in the Air Force where he retired as a Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Air Force, Carl worked offshore as a diesel mechanic, an Inspector at Boeing in Lake Charles LA, and then as an aide at Central Hospital in Pineville LA. Carl married Joel Agnes Harrison Jan 10, 1959 and was married for 52 years until his wife’s death. They had 7 beautiful children 6 boys and1 girl. Carl J. Braud III ( daughter in-law Francis), Jeffery Braud (deceased)(daughter in-law Mary) , Gregory Braud (daughter in-law Evelyn), Jaqueline A. Braud Lacour (son in-law Beltrand), Terrance Braud (daughter in-law Veronica), Manuel Braud (daughter in-law Carolyn), Daniel Braud (daughter in-law Artie, deceased). Carl remarried September 21, 2013 to Yvonne Plessy Mitchell and was with her until his passing. Carl left behind 6 children, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, 1 brother Larry Braud, 3 sister in-laws Brenda, Leslie and Barbara, 1 Uncle Gerald Braud, along with a host of many nephews, nieces and cousins. Carl was a Loving Husband and Father, an all around good egg and a GREAT MAN. He enjoyed cooking, shooting pool, golfing, bowling, carpentry and being with family. He will be remembered and sincerely missed. The world’s loss is Heavens gain.
