Cecil S. Nelson

Services for Cecil S. Nelson will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at New St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, 1516 Reed Avenue, Alexandria, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memories.

Mr. Nelson, 86, of Alexandria, LA, passed away on March 24, 2024, at his residence surrounded by family. Cecil was married to his late wife, Gladys Thomas Nelson for 40+ years. To this union there were four children: Pamela, Raymond, Darryl, and David. He had 9 grandchildren and 10 great grand children.

He is preceded in death by his mom Blanche Seals Nelson, dad Dan Nelson, Jr., twin brother Dan “ Dickey” Nelson, and his wife of 40+ years Gladys Nelson.

Cecil leaves to cherish his memories -daughter: Pamela Thomas, sons: Raymond Thomas, David Nelson, and Darryl Nelson, along with 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9-11:00a.m. on the day of the service at New St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church.

Repast will be held at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church – Robert R. Perry, Sr. Family Life Center.
