Cecile Lincoln Graham Olivier’

Services for Cecile Lincoln Graham Olivier’ will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday,

May 8, 2021 at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church, 2200 Third Street, Alexandria, LA.

Pastor Randy Harris will be officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Triumph

Cemetery.


Mrs. Olivier’, 76, of Alexandria, LA, passed away on April 27, 2021 at Ochsner

Medical Center, New Orleans, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents:

Maxine Jones and Calvin Jones, Sr. (stepfather), brother: John Douglas Jones, and

sister: Marion Jones.


Cecile Lincoln Graham Olivier’ was born to the union of Lincoln Graham and

Maxine Woodard on May 11, 1944; she was raised in loving home by her mother

and stepfather – Calvin C. Jones, Sr., of Colfax, LA.


She attended St. James Catholic school, Peabody Elementary and graduated from

Peabody High School. While in High School, she participated in the “Booster

Club” (equivalent to Cheerleaders today). After graduation, she attended Dillard

University to pursue a degree in Nursing.


She was fortunate enough to become an instructor at the Louisiana Institute of

Technology helping students to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. It wasn’t

uncommon for her to run into students she taught and have them to thank her for

helping them to achieve their career goals. This brought her all the joy.

Cecile accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour at an early age and was a

faithful and dedicated member of Mt. Triumph Missionary Baptist Church in

Alexandria. She was empowered by the gospel under the pastoral leadership of

Pastors A.L. Cooper, Robert R. Perry, and current Pastor Randy Harris. She sang

in the choir and was a dedicated member of the Matrons as she participated in

many of the fundraising projects for worthy causes.


Cecile was a devoted mother to her only child: Ms. Lisa Renee Carter of

Alexandria, LA. Lisa was a loving and devoted caregiver to her mother until the

very end.


Cecile is survived by her loving daughter: Lisa Renee Carter, brother: Calvin

Jones, of Rochester, NY, sisters: Emma Gray (Charlie), of Austin, TX, Angela

Ricks, of Alexandria, LA, and Eunice Ross, of Boyce, LA. She will be missed by

her uncle Willie O’Neal Jones of Alexandria, LA, a host of nieces, nephews,


cousins, a community of friends, neighbors, Mt. Triumph Baptist Church family,

and associates.
