Services for Christopher Johnson will be at 11:00a.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Hopewell Baptist Church, 1100 Graham Street, Colfax, LA. Interment will be in Farenzie Cemetery, Colfax, LA.
Christopher Johnson was born on June 21, 1959, in Pineville, Louisiana to Joseph Johnson and Eloise E. Valley. He departed this life on June 21, 2024. Chris was baptized at an early age at Hopewell Baptist Church and attended school at Mary E. Graham in Colfax, Louisiana. Chris was a 1977 graduate of Dry Prong High School.
Chris served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany, and lived in Germany until 1998, when he returned to the United States. Chris worked in numerous capacities in Germany and the U.S., with Toyota, Pan AM, Reagan National Airport, San Francisco International Airport and the Naval Academy.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Johnson, Eloise Valley, Herman Valley, a son, Christopher Reynard Sapp, and three brothers, Darnell, Danny and Gene.
He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Martin Johnson and granddaughter Lelie Johnson both of Hessen, Germany; brothers, Dean (Katie) Edwards, Sr., and Trevor Johnson, both of Colfax Louisiana, Stevie Johnson of Houston, Texas and William Brown of Alexandria, Louisiana; Sisters, Delores Davis of New Llano, Louisiana, Bonita (Emmanuel) Bullock of Raleigh, North Carolina, Regina (Lawrence, Jr.) Williams and Shevita Johnson both of Colfax, Louisiana; one Uncle, Issac Gaskin of Inglewood, California and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the Class of 1977.
