Courtney Piper

Courtney J'Rod Piper was born on December 10, 1984 to Mr. & Mrs. Crawford & Alfreda Piper, Sr.

He was baptized at a young age by the late Pastor Leonard C. Williams at the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church of Boyce, Louisiana, later joining the Mount Triumph Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Joseph W. Franklin.

Courtney attended Northwood High School, graduating in 2003. Immediately, after high school, he began working.

At the age of nineteen, due to a tragic accident, Courtney's life drastically changed. But, his childhood memories on Mill Race Road, cherished by his brothers, cousins & friends, are always joyous & fun-filled. The adventurous days with them will never be forgotten. Whether they were walking through the woods, bike riding, scouting the Mill Race for alligators, or just sitting for hours on end laughing and talking. Recording songs with radios and karaoke machines, as well as riding anything on wheels through the trails and muddy ditches in the woods.

Courtney gained his wings, departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest on September 10, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Crawford D. Piper, Sr.; his maternal grandparents - Arthur Gaines & Daisy Gaines; his paternal grandparents - Alfred Dan Piper, Sr. & Susie Lee Piper; and one niece, Destinne Piper.

His memories will forever be cherished by his loving dedicated mother, Alfreda Piper; three brothers, Andre' T. Piper (Evelyn), Crawford D. (Calisha) Piper, and Random D. Piper and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, with special regards to Jamaris "Jay" Gray.
