Services for Deacon Eli Price, Jr. will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at New Scott Olly Baptist Church, 2627 Willow Glen River Road, Alexandria, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:00am . Pastor George Price, Sr. will be officiating. Interment will be in Timothy Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Price, 72, of Alexandria, LA, passed away on January 17, 2022, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.

Deacon Eli “Black” Price, Jr. was born on March 23, 1949, to the late Eli & Mary Price of Alexandria, LA. Eli was baptized at an early age at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, pastored by the late Rev. J.S. Lawson. He retired from Christus Cabrini Hospital after thirty-five (35) years of employment. He was Co-Director of The Eighth District Laymen’s Ministry of Timothy Baptist Church, he was Audio Tech, Co-Director of Finance, Environmental Custodian, faithful member of the Brotherhood Choir, Bible Study and Sunday School. He served faithfully until his death.

He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted and loving wife of 19 years: Velma Price, four sons: Daryl Price, Eli Price, III, Donald Price, and Darrell Scott, two daughters: Angela Lilly (Jerome) and Andrea love (Freddie), two brothers: Pastor George Price, Sr. (Joann) and Donald Ray Price (Marie), two sisters: Earline Branch and Martha Thomas, one godson: Malcolm Branch, along with 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of loving and caring nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
