Services for Deacon Jasper Lee Ryan will be at 11:99am on Saturday, August 29, 2926, at Big Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Interment will be in Union Cemetery. 

Deacon Jasper Lee Ryan was born on June 2, 1934, to Dennie Ryan and Bertha Emery Ryan. He was the twelfth of thirteen children. On August 15, 2026, he peacefully transitioned from his earthly life into God’s eternal presence, surrounded by his loving wife, daughter, and nieces.  

Deacon Ryan leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Reverend Betty Valley Ryan, whom he lovingly called “My Love”; his daughter, Dr. Melissa Watson-Prelow; grandson, Aldorsey Prelow, IV; granddaughter, Mayah Prelow; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

His presence, love, wisdom, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him and had the privilege of sharing in his life.
