Dr. Pastor Johnnie Davis Officiating. Burial will be in Lawrence Serenity Cemetery under the direction of Robinson Family Mortuary.

Mr. Demetrius T Murphy, 43, of Natchitoches, LA. died at 11:50 am on October 22, 2021, at University Medical Center New Orleans, LA.

Demetrius is a 1996 graduate of Natchitoches Central High School and furthered his education in skill training at Natchitoches Vocational School. Demetrius was born November 5, 1977, in Natchitoches, Louisiana to the union of Calvin and Elizabeth Murphy. He was the first bundle of joy to start their family and enjoyed the special time of being in that position. He was baptized at an early age at the Greater New Testament Church where he attended with his parents and other siblings, later he joined World of Hope Church of Natchitoches, Louisiana. From a child he was always full of life and enjoyed helping others no matter who they were they could count on his loyalty.


His kind heart touched everyone life he came in contact with. Demetrius was a hard and faithful worker to any of his jobs he obtains. In 2013, Natchitoches was excited to have its first IHOP where Demetrius was one of the first to be hired. The management teams could always depend on him to work hard, never liked taking off, go above and beyond his job description and he had a good relationship with all the employee’s coming and going throughout the years until his death. Demetrius is preceded in death: Maternal Paternal Grandmother – Annette Robinson, Grandmother – Bonnie B Samuel, Grandfather - Willie Edwards, Grandfather – Johnny Murphy, Uncle – Ronald J. Harris, Sr., Uncle – John Clark, Great Grandfather – Birdet Riley, Aunt – Irma Carhee.

Demetrius leaves to cherish his memories: parents Calvin Murphy & Elizabeth Murphy, brother CarDarrius Murphy, sisters ShaRhonda Murphy and Felicia Murphy Young (Brian). Viewing will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Agape Love Center.
