Deon Coleman, Jr.

Services for Deon Coleman, Jr. will be at 11:00am on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Rockford Baptist Church. Rev. Conway Jones will be officiating. Interment will be in Gilgal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00am at the church.

On February 23, 2001, Deon S. Coleman, Sr. And Crystal R. Brown were blessed with a joy filled baby boy of whom they named Deon Shontell Coleman, Jr., affectionately known as “Dee”.

He was fun to be around because he always had a story to tell or say something to make you laugh. As a son, and a father, he was loving and caring. He loved his sisters and always made sure they knew it.

Deon confessed Christ at an early age at Gilgal Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Lamar Richardson where he remained a member until his transition.

Those preceding him in death are his paternal grandfather Mr. Edward Gaye, and maternal grandfather Mr. Oliver Patterson, his aunt Patricia Gaye-Jenkins, great grand parents Tim and Elvie Coleman and Willie Mae Williams and Levi Brown, great uncles Herman and John D. Coleman, and great aunts Frances and Gladys Coleman.

Left to cherish him are loving parents, Deon Coleman, Sr. and Crystal Brown, fiancé Demi Williams, And one daughter Xa’Hara S. Coleman, three sisters Gabrielle Pickett, Abigail Brown, and Tamia Johnson, grandmothers Turyles Coleman and Crichelle Harris, aunts WillIe Mae Brown and LaTonya Gaye, uncles Kendrick Brown, Carlos Brown (Felicia), and Royce Gaye, great aunts Eddie Jean Coleman, Sandy Turner (Wilbert), Hazel Brown, and Jerry Taft (Tommy), great uncles Jimmy Coleman and Alfred Williams, and a host of relatives and friends.
