Services for Derick Darnell Tatum Jr.will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2023, at Second Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with Bishop Gregory C.Mills Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery Pineville, LA, under direction of Robinson Family Mortuary.

Mr. Derick Darnell Tatum Jr. age 22, of Natchitoches, LA entered eternal rest on June 13, 2023, at The Carpenter House in Shreveport, LA.

Derick Tatum Jr. was a loveable, and respectful young man who loved to smile and be happy.

Derick Tatum Jr. was a graduate of the Shreveport Job Corp where he received his high school diploma, and a trade in welding.

Mr. Derick is preceded in death by his great-grandmother Emma L. Harris-Rhodes, great-great aunt Thelma L. Harris-Martin.

Derick is survived by his son, Juston G. Charles, mother, Kyra Viree-Bell, father Derick Tatum Sr. (Astrid), two brothers; For'TreVious Viree, and Daylan Tatum, five sisters: Sintiqua Viree, For'Ever Viree, Emma'Lee Viree, Courtlan Tatum and Courtney Ardoin. His grandmothers, Myra Viree and Mary Ann Tatum. Grandfathers, Eddie Viree Sr. and Donald Jordan Sr. Two special aunts Kayla Viree and Monica Tatum. One special uncle Eddie Viree Jr. One niece Ma'Zyriah Baker. Cousins Eryanna Viree, De’Reon Williams, De’Rhea Tatum, and De’Carius Tatum. He leaves a host of other family and friends.
