Services for Dorothy Ann Johnson will be at 10:00a.m. at on August 16, 2025, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 1401 South Harvard St., Alexandria, LA. Rev. Phillip Gallow will be officiating. Interment will be in Edgefield Cemetery, Cheneyville, LA.
Ms. Johnson, 79, of Alexandria, LA, passed away on August 5, 2025, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital. She was a lifetime member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
She retired from Hilltop Nursing Home after 25 years of service. She opened her heart and home to those in need – expressed love through cooking. She proudly stood in the
gap of mom and grandma to countless.
She is preceded in death by parents: John & Mary Johnson, seven siblings: John, Jr., W.J., Leroy, Delores, Evelyn, Johnnie Mae, Billie Earl and her husband: James.
Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories – daughter: Bridgett (Bill), sons: John (Jacqui),
Rachail, Travis, and Trevor, brother: Charles Ray, along with 10 grandchildren and 6
great grandchildren.
