Dorothy Hymes

Services for Dorothy Hymes will be at 11:00am on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Good Hope Full Gospel Church. Elder Ben Taylor will be officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery.

Mrs. Hymes, 72, of Powhatan, LA, passed away on September 25, 2022, at her home. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her church family. She loved going out of town to visit family. She loved fishing with her husband. She was a faithful usher until her death.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother: William and Annie Murphy, two,sons: Darrell Murphy and Macie Hymes, Jr.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories- husband: Macie Hymes, Sr, daughter: Betty Jackson, sons: Gabriel Hymes, Sr. And Darrius Murphy, Sr., brothers: Preston Johnson, Johnell Johnson, Jimmy Murphy, Benny Murphy, Robert Murphy, Ronnie Murphy, and Michael Murphy, sisters: Annie Jo Murphy and Alice Johnson, along with 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
