Services for Dorothy Jean Maltie will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Mt. Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 916 Church Street, Colfax, LA. beginning at 11:00 am with Elder Walter Williams, officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 am and continue until start of service. Interment will be held in Raven Camp Cemetery immediately following the Funeral Service.

Dorothy Jean Maltie was born on August 13, 1950, to the late Banks Jones and Sarah Maltie Hamilton of Colfax, Louisiana.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories her children, LaRhonda Maltie, Cardiz Maltie (Shaquita), Carlos Maltie, Karneldric Maltie, and Roderick Maltie (Myesha); two sisters, Beatrice Maltie, Debra Jackson; four brothers, Reverend Tom Hamilton, Jr. (Lucille), Willie Hamilton (Esther), Larry Hamilton and Alfredrick Jackson (Lawanda), along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
