Dorothy Mae West

Services for Dorothy Mae West will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Gaines Chapel AME. Dr. Lionel Jackson will be officiating. Interment will be in Lawrence Serenity Sanctum Cemetery.


Mrs. West, 77, of Natchitoches, LA, passed away on June 18, 2021, at Ochsner Hospital, New Orleans, LA. She is preceded in death by her mother; Bertha Simmons, father: Jimmy L. West, (2) sisters: Geneieve Moran, & Marie West, (2) brothers: Charles Richards and Rev. Joe Simmons.


Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories – niece: Wanda Odom, brothers: Warren West, Murray Gant, Stafford Simmons, and Larry Richards, sisters: Penny Anderson, Gloria Hudson, Doretha West, Ethel Moody, Doris Wallace, and Carolyn Watson, along with 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
