Services for Dorothy Shannon Johnson will be at 11:00a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, at First Baptist Church, Amulet Street, Natchitoches, LA. Rev. Thomas Carter will be officiating. Interment will be in Jackson Square Cemetery.
Mrs. Dorothy Shannon Johnson, 87, of Natchitoches, LA, passed away on February 18, 2026, at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. She was a retired educator with 28 years in the Natchitoches Parish Public School System.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Gussie B. Desadier Shannon and Phillip Shannon, Sr., husband: Theodore Johnson, Sr., siblings, Gertha Bell, Mary Lou Shannon, and Clarence Shannon.
Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories – daughters: Zannetta Young and Anissa Lynette Johnson, sons: Rev. A.B. Johnson, Roosevelt L. Johnson, and Theodore Johnson, Jr.
Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. at First Baptist Church, Amulet St., Natchitoches, LA.
