Earnest Richard Green, Sr. "Bound" was born on August 10, 1944 in Elmer, Louisiana. He was the 4th born to the union of Mr. Earnest Green and Mrs. Adlean W. Green. Both of his parents, brothers Roger Green, John Henry Green, and Eddie Ray Green precedes him in death. Richard was also proceded in death by his wife, Rosa Simon Green.
He leaves five children to cherish his memories: Earnest Green, Jr. (Jennifer Doyle) of Alexandria, La., Beverly Green of Glenmora, La., Keith Dixon (Debra) of Glenmora, La.,
Marilyn Young of Glenmora, La., and Chanie Glynn (Justin) of Alexandria, La.
He leaves one brother: Joey Green of Sulphur, La. and six sisters: MayLeon Green of Alexandria, La., Elnora Thomas (Norman) of Glenmora, La., Margie Green of Alexandria, La., Georgia Gonzalez of Raleigh, North Carolina, Karen Green-Jones and Emma Green of Seattle Washington.
Richard leaves many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, countless hosts of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Richard was baptized at St. Mark United Methodist Church in Melder, Louisiana under the direction of the late Rev. Castine. Richard served faithfully and taught Sunday School for several years. He worked very hard as a logman and kept on working until he retired with over 30 years in this field.
Richard was also a member of the Golden Tones quartet. He was one of the lead vocalist, and he was a supreme guitarist. Last but not least, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and hosting family gatherings.
