Ella Bobbie Jean Newman II Timothy 4:7 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished by course, I have kept the faith”

Ella Bobby Jean Newman, 82, of Pineville, left this earth on Friday, August 6, 2021, to rejoice in the presence of God. Bobby was born March 9, 1939, in Roanoke, Alabama, to the union of Robert Bell and Lillian Watts Bell. Though she worked and retired after 30 years at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital, her true passion was building houses and working on anything with an engine. She was happiest in the greater outdoors.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Frank Newman, her mother, and father, three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her children; Thomas, Barbara, Linda, Ben, and Bryant; her sibling, Myris Bell, her grandchildren, Robert (LaShonda), Renee Jefferson (Jerome), Angelina Alonzo (Tony), Thomas, Jr., Derek (Brittany), Darwin, Raquel; great grandchildren, Jalen, Adam, Rayne, Kaleb, Chelsie, Avelina, Aiven, Autumn, and Mykel.

Pallbearers include Robert Newman, Jalen Newman, Derek Newman, Bryant Newman, Waymon Fair and Barrington Robinson, Jr. Honorary pallbearers include Thomas Newman, Benjamin Newman, George Lewis, and Tony Alonzo. Friends can visit on Friday, August 13, 2021, from 4-6:00p.m. at Robinson Family Mortuary, 1815 Military, Hwy, Pineville, LA.

A graveside ceremony will be officiated by Pastor Willie Kindle on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 10:00a.m. at Lincoln Cemetery on Mason Street, Pineville, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).
