Obituary: Elvis Wayne Williams was born February 27, 1969, to Grace Pugh and Charles Williams of Alexandria, La. He was baptized at an early age to Catholic Religion at St Juliana of Alexandria La. Later in life, he converted to Baptist Religion and became a member at Second Evergreen Baptist Church where he was baptized and ordained as a Deacon.
Elvis graduated from Peabody Magnet High School and attended Louisiana State University of Alexandria. He worked approximately 25 years in the prison system as a Correctional Officer. After 18 years of service, Elvis retired from the Federal Bureau of Prison at Pollock, La. During his tenure years, he gained many friendships. He put his best effort in encouraging and advising his family and friends to strive for the best in life. Through these efforts, he was highly respected. This is where his servant’s heart shined the brightest. He loved life and lived to the fullest. His hobbies included fishing and sports (A True Saints Fan) brought him great joy especially when spending time with family.
On March 20, 1993, he was joined in holy matrimony to Joanna Williams. To this union, one daughter, Jasmine Renee’ Williams was born. Elvis departed his life on Saturday morning, August 21, 2021, at Cabrini Hospital ICU of Alexandria, La. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. JoAnna Williams (Pineville, La.); one daughter, Jasmine Renee’ Williams (Lakardrick Lane) Alexandria, La. Grandchildren: Ja’Lynn Re’nee Williams, Ja’Niya Lane, Lakardrick Lane, jr. and Ja’Liya Lane of Alexandria, La. Brothers: Benard Pugh (Virgie) Houston, Tx; Curtis Pugh (Carol) Pineville, La,; Charles Williams (Linda) Alexandria, La. He also leaves his uncles: Joseph Pugh ( Bernadine) Oakdale, La.; Ronnie Pugh (Johnnie) Houston, Tx.; Willie Pugh (Geraldine) Tacoma, Washington; one aunt; Dorothy St. Romain (Alexandria, La.); Betty W. Sewell, Alexandria, La.; Lucy Harmon (Zachary), Wentzville, Missouri; Everlee W. Sneed, Houston, Tx.: Father in law: Donald Winne, Monroe, La.; Mother in law: Joylaine Serie, Pineville, La.; Brother in law: Jonathon Richard, Houston, Tx., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Pugh, his father, Charles Williams, and his grandson Jordan Lane.
A private service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021, at Robinson Family Mortuary, 1815 Military Hwy, Pineville, LA. Rev. Joseph Green will be officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Elvis will be truly missed by many……….
