Services for Gene Edwards will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023. Visitation begins, followed by Funeral Service at 11:00 am at Hopewell Baptist Church, Colfax, Louisiana. Rev Kendall Francois, Officiating. Burial will be in Farenzie Cemetery, Colfax, Louisiana.



Gene Edwards was born on January 26, 1956, in Pineville, Louisiana to the late Eloise E. Valley. He departed this life on May 28, 2023 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana.



Gene leaves to cherish his memories his son, Jerome (Erica) Edwards of Jonesboro, Georgia; three grandchildren, Jerome Gene Edwards, Jr., Jaylen Nasir Edwards both of Jonesboro, Georgia and Amari Le Bria Edwards of Lansing, Michigan; two brothers, his twin, Dean (Katie) Edwards, Sr., of Colfax Louisiana, and Christopher Johnson of New Llano, Louisiana; three sisters, Delores Davis of New Llano, Louisiana, Bonita (Emmanuel) Bullock of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Regina (Lawrence) Williams of Colfax, Louisiana; two godchildren, Alex D. Chapman and Kalex K. Chapman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the Hopewell Baptist Church Family.
