Harold D. Peterson

Services for Harold D. Peterson will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at St. Thomas Baptist Church, 5101 Hwy 1200, Boyce, LA. Rev. Robert Austin will be officiating. Interment will be in Raven Camp Cemetery, Colfax, LA.

God in his infinite wisdom and divine providence called His beloved son, Harold Darnell Peterson, 58, of Beloit, Wisconsin, home from labor to reward on Thursday, November 18, 2021, in Beloit, WI.

Harold Darnell Peterson was born on May 6, 1963, to the union of Clyde and Issealene (Manning) Peterson, Sr. in Pineville, LA. On June 22, 2019, Harold married Zena Lanora Kenerson in Beloit, WI.

Harold accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by Reverend Albert Sykes at Little Rock Baptist Church in Colfax, LA. He later joined Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Ocie Lee Charles, Jr. in Natchez, LA. Harold relocated to Beloit, WI, where he became a member of New Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend James Ivy, where he was in training to become a Deacon until his death, and he helped in the food pantry.

Harold was employed at the Citgo Gas Station in Beloit and as an automotive detailer with Darnell Jones in Beloit. He enjoyed working, watching movies, cooking, and eating. Harold had a profound sense of humor and always kept everyone around him laughing.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Rosa Pearl Peterson-Kirklin and Charlotte Mae Peterson; and special cousin, Clarence Peterson, Jr. Harold leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Zena Peterson of Beloit, WI; her children, Shakhan, Michael, and Zena and her grandchildren, Travon, Zeryiah, Adoness, and Zahnia whom all referred to his as “Papa”, sisters, Rose Mary Riley, and Irene (Donald) Peterson-Fisher, both of Alexandria, LA, and Fannie L. (Jimmie) Williams, of Gulfport, MX; brothers, Clyde James (Yolonder) Peterson of Boyce LA, Gary Peterson, Donald (Dorothy) Peterson, and Jerry Peterson, of Natchitoches, LA, and Clyde Peterson, Jr. of Alexandria, LA; special cousin, Charles (Pamela) Armstrong of Natchitoches, LA, special sister, Barbara (Charles) Fisher of Boyce, LA; sisters-in-law, Kimberly and Ebony; along with a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Rosa Pearl Peterson-Kirklin and charlotte Mae Peterson; and special cousin, Clarence Peterson, Jr.
