Irma Cherice L. Williams (44), of Pineville passed away on February 2, 2021 at her home in Las Vegas, NV. Irma was born at Huey P. Long Hospital in Pineville to Florence Gail Williams and Kenneth Ray Gordon on October 6, 1976.
Irma graduated from Roosevelt Roads high school in Puerto Rico then volunteered with the
American Red Cross until she was accepted to attend Cleveland Institute of Art. After one
semester Irma decided to leave school to join the U. S. Air Force. After her first enlistment, she attended Louisiana State University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art. She also earned an Associate degree in Logistics while serving as an Air Force Reservist.
Irma achieved the rank of Master Sergeant and served her country honorably until her passing for a total of 16 years (active and Reserve duty). Decorations received include: AF Good Conduct Medal one Oak Leaf, AF Reserve Meritorious Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, AF Achievement Ribbon, AF Outstanding Unit Ribbon with one Bronze Oak Leaf, AF Combat Readiness Ribbon with one Bronze Oak Leaf, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, AF Expeditionary Service Gold Frame, AF Longevity Service Ribbon with four Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, and AF Training Ribbon.
Irma is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Ray Gordon, her grandparents, Eddie and Erma Williams, and Bertha Miller. She is survived by her mother, grandmother, three sisters, one brother, three nieces, three nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
The memorial will be held, Saturday (February, 27, 2021) at 11 am at Robinson Family
Mortuary, 1815 Military Highway, Pineville, LA 71360.
