Services for James LaCour, Sr. will be on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at St. James Memorial Catholic Church. Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Funeral mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. for immediate family only.
James LaCour, Sr. age 87, left us peacefully on August 19, 2020 in his home in Alexandria, LA.
James was born March 4, 1933 in Natchez, LA to Beltrand LaCour, Jr. and Margaret Rachal LaCour. He was the younger of two sons.
In his union to Leah Maxine Jett, 8 children were born. He was an auto mechanic and hard work was nothing he was afraid of. James is preceded in death by this parents and grandson, Glenn D. LaCour, Jr. He is survived by his brother, Louis Anthony LaCour, Sr., his children, Carolyn LaCour Reamey (Gary) of Hinesville, GA, James LaCour, Jr. (Nellie) of Brockton, MA, E. Valerie LaCour of Boyce, LA, Martin LaCour (Allen), Beltrand LaCour, III (Jacqueline) of Alexandria, LA, Matthew LaCour (Detra) of Haslet, TX, Glenn D. LaCour, Sr. (Victoria) of Brockton, MA, and Wanda K. LaCour of Haslet, TX, 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson.
He was loved by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Interment at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery, 423 LA-Hwy 495
