Janice G. Williams, of New Orleans, LA, transitioned peacefully in Shreveport, LA, on April 19, 2026, due to medical complications. Janice was born on October 3, 1951. She was predeceased by her mother Hattie Dozier, her father John Garner, her sisters Sandra G. Donate, Lily G. Kimble, and her aunts Ada D. Singleton, Anna Powell, and Roda Dozier.

She is survived by three sisters Barbara Chapman, Ethel Billy and Cynthia Rollins. She also leaves behind her son James Andrew Williams, Jr., her granddaughter Nya Marie Williams, and many nieces nephew all of whom she loved and cared for very much.
