Mr. Augustine, 45, of Marksville, LA, passed away on February 9, 2026, at Avoyelles Hospital. Jayson was born in Marksville, LA to Joshua Augustine, Sr. and Dora Augustine. He attended Marksville High School. Jayson loved music and to be around family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his sister: Artie Brau, grandmother: Artie Mae Small, Verbal Augustine and Priscilla James, and grandfather: Tommie Hilt.

Jayson leaves to cherish his memories – parents: Dora Augustine, Caroline Augustine and Pastor Joshua Ausugine, Sr., brothers: Lamont Butler, Joshua Augustine, Jr., and LaMarkus Augustine, sisters: Kizzty Jones-Balthazar, April Butler, Fransha Augstine, Rakeeda Augustine, Tinisha Augustine, and Chameka Augustine, and a special friend: Tim.
