Services for Jevonta Moore will be at 2:00p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Robinson Family Mortuary, 1815 Military Hwy, Pineville, LA. Pastor Avery Hamilton will be officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery

Jevonta was born on July 31, 1992, in Alexandria, Louisiana to Samuel Buckner Sr. and Wonda Moore.


Jevonta attended Louisiana Tech University where in 2017, he graduated and earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. He moved to Tulsa OK and began his career with American Electric Powers as a Transmission Line Engineer. Over seven years, his hard work and dedication lead him to getting promoted to Senior Distribution Controls Engineer. He was an active member of the National Society of Black Engineers.

Jevonta was kindhearted, always willing to help others. He was a devoted family man. He enjoyed working out, spending countless hours teaching his son “2”, how to do push-ups. Jevonta had many talents, one of his favorites was the love of creating, listening and writing music (Droptopveezy). Droptoveezy will forever be in our hearts.

Jevonta met his sweetheart Brittany in 2010, and their loved blossomed into a marriage in 2019. From this union, they were blessed with a handsome son “2”.

Jevonta was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Catherine Young-Buckner. He is survived by parents Samuel Buckner and Wonda Moore. Paternal Grandfather Joe Buckner Sr. and Maternal Grandmother Minerva Moore. Spouse Brittany Pierre-Moore, and son Jevonta “2” Moore. Siblings, Samuel Buckner Jr.“Lil Sam”, Keltric Williams, KaWonda Williams, Ke’Wonda Williams, Tori Buckner-Brown (Tashaun), Beautiful Catherine Buckner. Nephew Dylan Williams and a host of cousins, aunts and uncles.
