Service for John T. Jenkins will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 2308 Houston Street, Alexandria, Louisiana, with Pastor Stanley R. Mathis, officiating. Viewing will begin at 9:00 AM, with service beginning promptly at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Robinson Family Mortuary.
John Jenkins, age 92, entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Matthews Memorial in Alexandria.
He is survived by his chosen and devoted sons, Ezell Perry and Willie Perry (Sonj’a); stepchildren, Shirley T. Green, Linda F. Griffith, Rennitta Green, and Terry Green; his loving siblings, Ruby Sykes, Ola Smith, Gertrude King, Oletha Bell (Rev. Nathaniel), Erma Clifton, and Hughes Jenkins (Ella); godchildren, Karren E. King and Thelma Jackson; special sister-in-law, Mildred Jenkins; kind and loving friends, Rummel Gaines and Isaiah & Gloria Webster; along with a host of devoted nieces, nephews, in-laws, other family members, and his Antioch Church family.
