John W. Metoyer, Sr.

Services for John Warren Metoyer, Sr. will be at 12:00pm on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Second Evening Star Baptist Church, 150 Cooper Road, Alexandria, LA. Rev. Rickey Turner will be officiating. Interment will be in McNutt Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Metoyer, 81, of Alexandria, LA, passed away on December 27, 2025, at The Summit Retirement Center. He retired after 30 years of service with Louisiana Special Education Center.

He is preceded in death by his father: Joseph Metoyer, Sr., mother: Ella Clifton-Metoyer, brother: Michael Metoyer, sisters: Oreliea Metoyer, Thelma Metoyer, and Janette Metoyer.

John leaves to cherish his memories – wife: Mildred W. Metoyer, daughters: Kathy Lemons and Katasha Metoyer, sons: John W. Metoyer, Jr. and Jarrick Metoyer, brothers: Robert Metoyer and Joseph Metoyer, Jr, sister: Lydia Metoyer, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 11:00a.m. at Second Evening Star Baptist Church.
