Services for Joseph Benart Johnson will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at trinity United Baptist Church, 1253 Kateland Road, Colfax, LA. Rev. Huey Tademy will be officiating. Interment will be in Cruikshank Cemetery, Colfax, LA.

Mr. Johnson, 75, of Colfax, LA, passed away on August 15, 2024, at Rapides Regional Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents: Nellie H. Johnson & Willis Johnson, Sr. sisters: Drotha Dearborn, Queen E. Thomas, Mary Bell, Nancy Gaines, and Harese Thomas, brothers: Willis Johnson, Jr. and Harper Johnson.

Joseph leaves to cherish his memories – wife: Janet E. Johnson, daughters: Karla Johnson and Candice Edwards, sons: George Allen, Jr. and Jerry Allen, brother: Joshua Johnson (Addie), sisters: Dorothy Williams, Lillie Friend (Paul), Betty Frazier, and Janie Johnson, along with 10 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

Joe was a great uncle and is survived by 19 nieces, 19 nephews, 56 great nieces, 64 great nephews, 45 great great nieces, 35 great great nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.

Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. at Trinity United Baptist Church.
