Services for Joseph Lee Green, Jr. will be at 11:00am on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Second Evening Star Baptist Church, 150 Cooper Rd., Alexandria, LA. Rev. Willie Price will be officiating. Interment will be in First Evening Star Cemetery.
Mr. Green was born on April 22, 1956 to the late Joseph “Sonny” Green and Idella Perkins Green in Pineville, LA. He departed our hearts on April 20, 2022, at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Joseph is preceded in death by his father-Joseph “Sonny” Green, and two brothers-Bruce Green and Donald Ray Green, Sr.
“Joe Lee”, “Joe Rider”, or “Joe” as many knew him was a Survivor, Provider, and Hustler. He will be missed by his beloved, caregiving wife-Geneva, and his three children-Yashita “Chica” Sanders, Joe Sanders, and Natasha Johnson-Dixon, memories that will be loved and cherished for the rest of their lives, along with his 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, Mother-Idella Perkins Green, sisters-Toma Green Epps(Davetric Barnes) and Ruby Freeman, brothers-Tommy Green (Myrtle), Michael Green, Darrell Green (Azalea), and Keith Green (Sharonda).
