Services for Kenneth Dan Reed will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at New Hope Baptist Church. Rev. Clifford Person will be officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Kenneth Dan Reed, affectionately known as “Ken” was born to the late Annie Mae Reed and Eddie Carter on January 21, 1963, in Alexandria, LA. He departed this life on June 3, 2022, in St. Gabriel, Louisiana. Ken was 59 years old.
Kenneth accepted the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at an early age. He attended public schools in Rapides Parish graduation from Bolton High School in May of 1981.
After high school, Kenneth was employed in various jobs, and he was instrumental in completing numerous programs where he was awarded certificates and acknowledged for his outstanding performance and participation. He loved his children, brothers, sisters, other relatives, and friends and enjoyed talking to as well as spending time with them whenever he could. He was very loving and kind hearted.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his son, Deldric Johnson, mother, Annie Mae Reed, brothers, Donald Louis Reed and Jeffrey Reed, sister, Dorothy Clayton, sister-in-law, Betty Reed, grandmothers, Elvira Stewart and Alberta Carter, grandfather, Sam Carter and niece, Tracy Reed.
Those left to cherish his memory are four daughters, Shamika Thomas and Shaun Wright of Alexandria, LA, Terasha Thomas Gandy (Jermaine), of Pineville, LA, Char’Leatrice “Bert” Robinson of Lafayette, LA, two sons, Kendrick Perry, of Pineville, LA, and Tavares “T.J.” Johnson of Dallas, TX, sisters, Patricia Jones, Mary Reed, Jeannette Reed, Debra Carter, Yulonda Carter, all of Alexandria, LA, Frances James (Eugene) of Vicksburg, MS, brothers, Wilford Reed (Elizabeth) of Pineville, LA, Jerry Carter (Deborah), Terry Carter (Debra), Bruce Reed, Gene Reed (Shannon), all of Alexandria, LA, and Don Carter (Kimberly) of Houston, TX, two aunts, Dorothy Scott and Lillie Williams of Alexandria, LA, one uncle, Isaac Elmore, of Houston, TX, nine grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
