Services for LaDonna Sykes will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at New Scott Olly Baptist Church. Bishop Lynell Smith will be officiating. Interment will be in Holly Oak Cemetery.
LaDonna Darnita Sykes was born on March 31, 1980 in Alexandria, LA to Lewis, Jr., and Sonya Sykes. As a child she attended church and was a member in the choir. In 1999, she graduated from Ruskin High School in Kansas City, MO. LaDonna was a loving mother to three boys, a big sister, aunt, and was loved by family and friends.
She enjoyed watching movies, playing board games, and spending time with family.
On January 17, 2021, at the age of 40, God called his loving daughter home.
She is preceded in death by her mother Sonya (NitaBoo) Sykes, grandmother: Earlean Honore, and great grandmother: Fannie Honore.
LaDonna leaves to cherish her memory – her three loving boys: Devinta, Jayshawn, and Jermaine Sykes, father: Lewis Sykes, Jr., three sisters: Earlean Lewis-Walker, Fannie Lawson, and Shameka Lawson-Duncan, and one brother: Lewis Sykes, III, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
