Services for Larry Lee Stanfield will be at First Evergreen Baptist Church on August 01, 2022 @ 11:00AM with the Rev. Michael Green officiating. Burial will be in the Garden or Memories Cemetery under the direction of Robinson Family Mortuary


Mr. Larry Lee Stanfield age 65 of Alexandria, Louisiana died at 10:05am on July 21, 2022 at St Francis Cabrini Hospital surrounded by love ones.


After a courageous battle with cancer in recent years, Larry showed his courage in facing life challenges with plenty of jokes and smiles. Despite the pain, Larry came out a hero and stayed strong until the very end. He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always entertained by his stories, brilliant mind and hilarious sense of humor. Baptized at an early age, Larry was born November 03, 1956 in Pineville, LA to Beatrice Standfield Mimes of Rochelle, LA and Thirkeel Evans Sr of Cottonport, LA. He graduated from Bolton High School in 1975 and began his college education at Grambling State University in Grambling, Louisiana. He enlisted in the United States Army Reserve in 1976.


Hs served time as a maintenance worker for the McDonald’s Corporation and coached for the Mt Triumph Baptist Church youth basketball league. He made a lasting impact on countless people and so many lifelong friends. He enjoyed a good laugh, a good game of chess while learning any and everything he can get his hands on. Many would say, Larry is one of the smartest persons that they’ve every encountered. Larry was always willing to help anyone in need without a second thought. His selfless acts will never be forgotten, and his good-natured soul will forever be missed by those he met during his life. He is preceded in death by his mother Beatrice Standfield Mimes, father Thirkeel Evans Sr, daughter Shundrett Shaw, sisters Diana Bowie, Sarah Hodges, Linda Partee, brothers Thikeel Evans Jr, Raymond Evans, David Evans, Arthur Evans and Michael Stewart and nephews Michael Standfield, Damion Wilson. Larry is survived by his wife Debbie Stanfield, son Latrell Holly Sr (Jessica), daughters Jacqueline Chapman, Donesha Shaw and Shakila Chapman. Bonus children, Wilbert Marshall, Marcus Johnson, and Alethea Piper. 2 brothers, Kenneth Standfield, Terry Fields (Debbie)of Hampton, Virginia and Howard Williams, 2 sisters Shirley Guidry and Vallerie Hall, mother in love Gloria Shaw, 14 grandchildren Datrell Holly, Jordan Jackson, Latrell Holly Jr, TyAsia Kahey, Jakobey Kahey, Jaylan Chapman, Zaila Norris, Lillian Harper, Zuri Harper, Jamarion Brown, Ta'Kaiyah Savage, Travis Savage Jr, Jeremiah Johnson and Ta'Miyah Johnson. 1 great granddaughter Majesti Holly and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
