Services for Leroy Cooper will be at 11:00a.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Tom Hamilton will be officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Mr. Cooper, 57, of Alexia, LA, passed away on December 18, 2021, at Oaks Care Center. Leroy was baptized at an early age. He attended schools in Grant and Rapides Parish. He married his late wife Ywanda after being high school sweethearts. He loved dancing, telling jokes, and handing with friends. He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan.
Leroy is preceded in death by his wife: Ywanda Brown Cooper, twin daughter: Angelika Lorena Davis, father: Roy Lee Cooper, and great grandmother: Mary Tademy Turner, special son: Antonio Davis.
Leroy leaves to cherish his memories – daughters: Charolettea N. Brown-Ware, Loretta Cooper, Shonnetta Cooper, Lee’Zeltea Cooper and A’Miracle L. Davis, mother: Velma Cooper, brother: Calvin Bryant, and sister: Bessie Sue Harris, along with 13 grandchildren, special daughters: Shonvetta Bush, Atrice Davis, and Anquanetta Davis, special son: Adrian Davis, special grandchildren: Kamyne Metoyer, shedrick Metoyer, Dinario Ruffin, and Legend Davis, great nephew: Zion Sheppard and great niece: Katrina Sheppard.
