Services for Luke “Sonny” Hampton will be at 11:00am. on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 2308 Houston Street, Alexandria, LA. The funeral services will be by invitation only. Pastor Stanley R. Mathis will be officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Mr. Hampton, 81, of Alexandria, LA, departed this life on November 3, 2020 at West Jefferson Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. He was preceded in death by his mother: Emma “Mame” Howard and one sister, Juanita Burrell Joshua.
Mr. Hampton was baptized at an early age and truly loved the Lord, along with his Antioch church family. He always flashed a huge smile and shared his warm-hearted spirit with everyone he met. Those who knew him will remember the passion he had for riding his bicycle all around town. He was a proud member of the Alexandria Cruiser Biker Association.
Luke leaves to cherish his memories one sister, Pearlie “Bea” Clark, four nieces, one nephew, and a host of great nieces and nephews, other relatives, special cousins, and great friends.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm at Robinson Family Mortuary.
