Services for Majoree Batiste Kennedy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Greater Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church, 1511 Bringhurst St., Alexandria, LA. Rev. Chadwick Godfrey, Sr. will be officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories under the direction of Robinson Family Mortuary.


Mrs. Kennedy, 75, of Alexandria, LA, passed away on July 6, 2018 at her residence. She was born to Major Batiste and Bernice Norris on February 20, 1943. She was a lifelong resident of Alexandria and a faithful member of Greater Magnolia Baptist Church all of her life.


She is preceded in death by her mother: Bernice Norris, father: Major Batiste, sisters: Velma Guillote, Annie Lee Howard, son: Kenneth Kennedy, niece: Belinda Batiste Rachal.

Majoree leaves to cherish her memories: daughters: Samantha Kennedy and Antoinette Kennedy, sons: James Lee Batiste, Robert Batiste, and Herman Jerome Kennedy, Jr., brothers: Samuel Batiste, James Batiste, and Antoine Batiste.


Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the church.
