Services for Margie Jean Hamilton will be at Morning Star Baptist Church in Natchez, LA. on November 7, 2020 at 11:00a.m. With interment to follow at Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family from 9:45a.m. until 11:00a.m. prior to service time.

Margie Jean Hamilton was born on August 8, 1953 in Bermuda, LA to Ms. Algirtha Hamilton and Mr. Columbus Edwards. Margie was a graduate of St. Matthew High School class of 1974. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Morning Star Baptist Church. Margie was a kindhearted, giving, and always smiling person. She would help anyone she could.

Margie worked several jobs including private sitting, ConAgra Poultry for 10plus years, and Alliance Compressor for 15 years. She was always great in caring for others. She was the caretaker for her mother until she passed and she never complained.

Margie was quiet and did not like confrontation. However, if she were provoked, Margie would speak her mind and stand up for what she believed. Margie never complained even when she became ill. She would always say, “I am ok”, “nothing is hurting me”. God knew she was getting tired and he sent his angles to set her free on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 5:55a.m. in Ochsner Hospital in Slidell, LA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Algirtha Hamilton and Columbus Edwards, and her sister; Elouise Sawyer. Those left to treasure her memory are Ivory Sawyer Sister of Dessert, Ca; four brothers Henry Blake (Sharon), Joseph Hamilton (Rose), Willie Hamilton (Evelyn) all of Natchitoches, LA; and Leon Hamilton of Natchez, LA, and sisters-in-law. She was blessed with numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends that loved her dearly.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Phillip Evans, Roderick Hamilton, Renard Sarpy, Matthew Hamilton, Vincent Hoover, Larry Hamilton, and Cedrick Blake.

The family would kike to express their sincere gratitude to the medical professionals and staff of Natchitoches Regional Medical Center; Winnfield Nursing and Rehab, Riverside, Natchitoches Nursing and Rehab, Cabrini, and Rapides Medical Center. The family greatly appreciates all of the prayers, and uplifting support during this time of celebrating the life of Margie J. Hamilton.
