Mary Cooper Jackson

Services for Mary Cooper Jackson will be Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 4:00 P.M. at New Evergreen Baptist Church with Reverend Robert Rhodes Officiating. Interment will follow at Webster Cemetery. Mrs. Jackson passed to eternal rest on Thursday, MorningSeptember 12 at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital. Mary was a 1965 graduate of Good Pine High School. She was a member of the band and played basketball. Upon graduation, Mary attended Southern University. Mary was employed by Beldon Wire and Cable, drove medical transportation, worked at LaSalle General Hospital, and at Wal Mart in Pineville and later Jena. Mary was a fun loving person. Her hobbies included spending time with family, collecting stuffed bears and what-nots, and was an avid lover of shoes. Many thought that Frank Sinatra wrote I did it my way, however this was Mary’s notion- She did it her way. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Jimmy and Ray (Che Che) Cooper. Mary peacefully slept away after a brief illness on September 12, 2019 at 3:20 in the morning at Christus Saint Francis Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana. Mary leaves to cherish her memories, 2 children: Anthony Jackson (Lolita) and Sophia Williams (Marcell) both of Jena, Louisiana; Loving and Faithful Siblings, who stood by her to the end: Faye Monson of Jena, Louisiana; Gracie Clinton of San Antonio, Texas, and Jerry (Barbara) Cooper of Garland, Texas; Eight Grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Gerald Williams Jr, RayQuon Williams, Cameron Jackson, Jordan Jackson, Duane (Courtney) Navy, Erin and Charles Gayden and Jalynn Pleasant; Her cousins who were like sisters: Charity, Freddie, JoAnn (Leo), Nelda (Charles), and Jennifer; One God-Daughter: Courtney Bloodsaw of Monroe, Louisiana; Her beloved Classmates of 1965 (who faithfully keep up with each other), and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Services are entrusted to the capable and professional hands of Robinson Family Mortuary., Mary attended Southern University.
