Master Sergeant David Rundell

Services for Master Sergeant David Rundell will be at 11 a.m. on September 16, 2023, at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Harris officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, under direction of Robinson Family Mortuary.


Mr. David Rundell age 87, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on September 6, 2023, at Cabrini Hospital.


David Rundell served 23 years in the U.S. Army retiring as a Master Sergeant (E-8). David Rundell Served six tour of duty Korea, Germany, and Vietnam during his first tour in Vietnam, the earned the Purple heart Medal. His other awards include the combat Infantry Badge, Bronze Star, V Device for Valor, and the Good Conduct 7th award. David Rundell attended several colleges, obtaining a Personnel Management Degree. He joined the Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in 1981 and served as a Deacon, Chairman of the Deacon Board, Trustee Board Member, Chairman of the Trustee Board, Sunday School Teacher, and adviser to the Triumphters Choir. He has given back to the community in many ways and was instrumental in starting the feeding of the Senior Citizens program by the Mount Triumph Baptist Church.


He is preceded in death by his mother and father, John D. Rundell and Olla Thomas, one daughter, Joyce A. Williams, two sons, David R. Rundell and Alfredo Rundell, two brothers: Eddie Lee Rundell and Richard King, and one sister, Joanna Thomas.
