Micheal "Mike" Jones

Services for Micheal “Mike” Jones, Sr. will be at 10:00a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Colfax Civic Center, 1290 Main Street, Colfax, LA. Rev. Ronald Carnahan will be officiating. Interment will be in Central LA Veterans Cemetery, Leesville, LA.

Mr. Jones, 60, of Colfax, LA, passed away on April 21, 2026, at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center.

Mike was born in 1965 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Earnest & Shirley Jones. Mike graduated from Finney High School in 1984. He later attended Central State College in 1987. Mike later joined the US Army and departed with an honorable discharge. Mike retired from Proctor & Gamble.

He is preceded in death by Earnest & Shirley Collins Jones, sisters: Kimberly Nobles and Aubrey Johnson.

Mike leaves to cherish his memories – wife: Gena L. Jones, daughters: Mikecia Jones, Kimiko Jenkins, Nialah Jones, sons: Micheal ”Jay” Jones, Jr., niece: Raynal Johnson, nephew: Lamar Jones, Ramon Johnson, Matthew Hamby, and Ryan Walker, brothers-in-law: James Jenkins, Robert Jones, Richard Jenkins, and Grover Jackson, sisters-in-law: Jennifer Jenkins, Jacqueline Aaron, Sharm Sykes, Veronica Isles, and Carolyn Sloan, grandchild: Jayce Jones.

Viewing will begin at 8:30am at the Colfax Civic Center.
