Sandy Byrd III

Services for Sandy Byrd III will be at 11 a.m. on January 13, 2024, at Second Edgefield Baptist Church, 1239 Bayou Rd in Cheneyville La with Pastor Cedric Brown officiating. Burial will be in Second Edgefield Cemetery, under direction of Robinson Family Mortuary.


Mr. Sandy Byrd III age 74, of Cheneyville La, entered eternal rest on January 4, 2024, at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria La.


He is preceded in death by his parents Sandy Byrd Jr, and Mary M. Byrd, three sisters; Hilda Wilson, Joyce Anderson and Barbara Byrd, one brother, James Byrd and father in law Earl Johnson.


He is survived by his wife Terry Ann Byrd of Cheneyville La, eight daughters; Diane Hollis of LeCompte La, Joanna Dyes (James) of LeCompte La, LaTonia Barret (Darnell) of Alexandria La, Chianta Johnson of Lafayette La, LaFloydria Johnson of Opelousas La, Rhona Robinson (Kelvin) of Alexandria La, Angela Young (Erik) of Beaumont Tx, Aquirio Cole (Christopher) of Bossier City La, four sons; Johnny Byrd (Treneka) of LeCompte La, Brandon Johnson of Bossier City La, Sandy Wright (Mandy) of Alexandria La, and Sandy Lindsey of Alexandria La, two brothers Ronald Byrd and Kenneth Byrd both of LeCompte La, sis sisters; Veronica Fisher (James) of Cheneyville La, Ella Byrd, Carolyn Byrd, Gloria Brooks (John), and Michelle Walker (Keywaynetheian) all of LeCompte La. Along with 29 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
