Services for Sims Murray will be at 2:00p.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at St. Paul United Methodist Cemetery, 715 Boeuf Ave, Cheneyville, LA. Rev. James Foster Batiste, I, will be officiating.
Mr. Murray passed away on January 2, 2022, at Hilltop Nursing Home. Sims was a person that loved life and loved all his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He cared deeply for his family at Hilltop Nursing Home where he resided for 8 years.
He is preceded in death by his mother-Ceola Murray, father-Cleveland Murray, Sr., daughter-Paula Murray, sisters-Ceola Murray and Mary Murray, and brother: Cleveland Murray, Jr.
Sims leaves to cherish his memories – common law wife: Genevie Reed, daughters: Malinda Batiste, Melissa Spradley, Stacey Murray, son: Christopher Murray, stepdaughters: Catherine Harris and Linda Payton and stepsons: Troy Harris and Steffon Harris, brothers: Manuel Murray and David Murray, sisters: Louella Wilson, Dorothy Winchester, Gevens Darander, Evelyna Wells, and Linda Murray, along with 24 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Robinson Family Mortuary, 1815 Military Hwy, Pineville, LA.
