Services for Solomon Richard Williams will be at 9:00 am – 11:00 am (Viewing)

and funeral starting at 11:00 am on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Antioch

Missionary Baptist Church, 2308 Houston Street, Alexandria, Louisiana with the

Reverend Bennie R. Edison officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories

Cemetery under the direction of Robinson Family Mortuary.


Mr. Solomon Richard Williams age 59 years old of Alexandria, Louisiana died on

August 12, 2022 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge,

LA.


Solomon fondly known as ‘’Slim” by his friends and “Solo” by his wife, was born

on October 7, 1962, in Frankfurt, Germany to the late Leon Williams and Helen L.

Williams. Solomon was a very intelligent and an astute entrepreneur as a child; at

the early age of eight, he was selling the local newspaper “The Alexandria News

Leader” and greeting cards with his younger siblings.


Solomon attended elementary, middle, and high school in Rapides Parish and

completed his GED certificate in West Feliciana Parish.


Solomon accepted Christ at an early age at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church

and was baptized by the late Rev. R.B. Bennett. Solomon was raised with biblical

principles and knew the importance of having a personal relationship with God.


He is preceded in death by his father, Leon Williams, his mother Helen L.

Williams, his sister Pamela L. Williams, and his brother Stephen W. Williams.

Survivors: He is survived by his wife Rossalin Williams, his adopted daughter Di-Kela

Williams of Lena, LA, three brothers, Patrick Smith (Clementine) of Fayetteville,

North Carolina, Kenneth Thomas and Roy Lee Williams of Alexandria, Louisiana.;

five sisters, Mildred P. Johnson (William) of Glen Burnie, Maryland, Lorraine

Lewis (Bobby) of El Cajon, California, Yvonne M. Culver of Alexandria,

Louisiana, Gertrude Williams Harris of Clinton, Maryland, and Theresa Williams

of Laurel, Maryland. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews,

other relatives, and loving friends who will miss him dearly.
